Casa Reynolds in Menorca Backs Young Talent

Casa Reynolds in Menorca Backs Young Talent

At a time when younger generations face challenges such as access to education, mobility and international exposure, the Reynolds Foundation is strengthening its commitment to Menorca’s cultural community with the launch of the Casa Reynolds Art & Music Bursary Fund 2026, a grant programme aimed at young artists living in Menorca.

The initiative is designed to support emerging artists aged between 18 and 35 who wish to broaden their horizons, acquire new knowledge and build professional connections that can help advance their careers. Beyond supporting individual development, the programme also seeks to strengthen the island’s cultural ecosystem by encouraging meaningful exchange between grant recipients and the local community.

The fund provides financial support for initiatives related to artistic and musical development. Each application is assessed individually, taking into account the quality and feasibility of the proposal as well as the availability of funds. Grants may therefore cover either the full amount requested or part of it.

An independent jury specialising in art and music will evaluate the applications according to principles of transparency and impartiality. Assessment criteria include the quality and viability of the project, the applicant’s background and trajectory, and the potential contribution of the project to Menorca’s cultural landscape.

As part of this approach, recipients are expected to share the knowledge and experience gained through activities open to the local community, such as concerts, workshops, exhibitions or the donation or loan of artistic work.

The call for applications remains open indefinitely, with submissions reviewed periodically for as long as funds are available. This flexible format allows artists to present projects according to their own needs, opportunities and professional schedules.

The track record of beneficiaries from previous years reflects Casa Reynolds’ established commitment to supporting local talent. Beyond the individual opportunities it creates, the bursary offers another way of sustaining the creative ecosystem of Menorca — allowing knowledge, practice and new connections to circulate back into the island’s cultural life.
